Elefante Primero Tempranillo 2014
"From Castilla in Spain’s central heartland, this ultra-drinkable red is a bargain, and a great companion to the cuisine of the Iberian peninsula. It’s hearty but not heavy, with aromas of berry jam, sarsaparilla and spice, even a suggestion of boot polish. In the mouth it’s medium bodied and succulent with sustained flavour and soft tannins.
The average Spaniard’s default wine with any food is red, so try Elefante Primero with anything Spanish-accented -casseroles, chickpea and lentil dishes, tortilla, jamon or chorizo.
